Midwest High School Hockey League Webcasting Guidelines

Preface: Webcasting of MHSHL games has become a popular and useful tool for fans unable to attend the event. The League applauds announcers and technicians who volunteer to make this valuable service available. In no way does the League want to discourage the practice, but asks that announcers follow the MHSHL Webcasting Guidelines listed below. Your voice represents the team and the League – make your webcast a positive experience for players, coaches, officials and fans.

MHSHL Webcasting Guidelines

 • Avoid using derogatory terms to describe players, coaches, officials and fans.

 • Do not criticize a player or coach when a mistake is made.

 • Avoid profanity – children may be listening.

 • Avoid being over-critical of on-ice officials.

 • Do not use the webcast as a platform for negative discourse of team or League issues.
